One day, at a young age, when Ora was struggling to find the words to write in her diary, she decided to follow an older sister’s advice to simply do what felt the most natural and just “make something from nothing,” and she did just that-drawing garments when there were no words.
Ora was raised in an artistic home where there was always a creative project to pursue and a sewing machine readily available. She spent many a Sunday at museums at the ballet. In the end it was the wearable aspect of art Ora was most passionate about, leading her to eventually earn her BFA in fashion design at Drexel University.
Ora has since worked in many areas of the industry from contemporary womens’ fashion, to lingerie and bridal, even sportswear at Converse – all of which have strongly influenced her work - designs that are chic, free-flowing and effortless that can either be dressed up for a night out on the town or dressed down for a comfortable yet elegant. daytime-fabulous look.
ABOUT
All fabrics are all hand painted exclusively by Ora in her New York studio. The paintings are an expressionist, transcendental convergence of enriched, lively colors denoting healing, balance, peace and diversity. Her designs are also inspired by cities and travels.
The fabrics coalesce into 3D form and become one with each wearer and their lifestyle. They can either dress the look up for a night out on the town or dress the look down for a comfortable yet elegant. daytime-fabulous look. It’s all in the harmony and balance.
